anybody like franz marc? He's one of my favorites who really started to get me interested in more expressive art.

| Looks like nobody here has an opinion on Franz Marc... I love his use of colour, and the reduction of the animal shapes. Shame he died so young - one wonders how he would have developed, given an adequate lifespan. P.S. My teenage daughter also has an opinion on FM - "ooh, he's cool". :-) |

| Couldnt agree more. Franz Marc has a huge impact on my style and interest in art. When you study at school it can really get you down working in a realism style where you "must paint what you see". It was a real escape when i started to look at expressionism and really could paint freely and painted how i felt. From Marc my interest has extended and now im interested in a wide range of genres of art though predominantly those which are more expressive and deal very much with the psyche, as you say, Franz Marc, hes cool, too true |
