Proper Printing Terms...

I have a question, I am aware that fine art print makers (stone litho, silk screen etc.,) are offended when giclee printers use the term "print" as apposed to reproduction. I was wondering if anyone was aware if it was approriate to use "print" to discribe outputs of an original digital Art file made completely on the computer, not scanned from a painting...

A giclée print is a print, if an artist use this technique to make a signed series of art-pieces then the giclée print is an art print. If anyone is offended by that they should move into a cave far away from civilisation. The giclée-technique is far superior to almost all old-school printing techniques and of course this make some people nervous, as always when something new is dragged into the house. Just fudge conservatism and make the best out of the new things which are offered! By the way, it's fudging silly to censor words a "fudge", why not go burn some books also when you're into it webmaster!
