Looking for info on artist by name of Hosen Dyk.

I have a framed oil painting by an obscure artist named Hosen Dyk, purchased at an auction 10 years ago for $40.00. I cannot find out anything about him. Can anyone suggest how I can get information about him?

| Well...is this a more contemporary painting, or is it earlier than the 20th century? Depending on that, the name sounds like a Dutch or Flemish artist, so you could try some books at the library dealing with Dutch/Flemish art. If that turns up nothing, try emailing an art museum curator and see if they can point you toward some references. |
