Minnie I have already warned my family - the TV is mine at 8pm! We have family visiting from out of state-but they will have to entertain themselves if they don't want to watch it! LOL!

Wow-this season once again started out with a 'bang'-literally! What a shocker with the killing so early in the season-makes you wonder how they can keep up the pace-by then when you think of last season-the tension and the plot just get better & better. If only 4 people knew Jack was supposed to be dead-who else knew-or found out and why would they want to have those 4 people all killed....? Of course I know they were setting up Jack...but apparently Chloe has already convinced CTU that he is innocent-or has she?

I will be glued to the TV again tonight at 8pm!

I'm glad I didn't have to wait 4 weeks to see these 4 episodes. I can't watch them live. I tape and then watch later. What good writing and I noticed that the writing is kind of old fashioned. Very little swearing which proves you can have a good show today without the vulgarisms. I hope the writers concentrate on the story like before. This show is what is referred to as "never a dull moment" I also like the split screens.

Curses! I came home last night to find that I flubbed the recording of the 2nd half of the premiere.

I'm hooked again on this show. I like the woman that is playing the President's wife this time. (I was sick and tired of Sherry.) Very shocking to have the former Pres. and Michelle killed in the first 10 minutes. And what about Tony? Is he dead? And how about the Chinese? Aren't they why Jack had to fake his death? I was surprised to find the Russians behind the current plot.
And Sean Astin is great!

Even though I hated to see David Palmer killed off, that probably was the best way to get Jack out of hiding. Palmer's successor is almost unbearable. And I agree about Sean Astin. He will always be "Sam" to me (my favorite hobbit) but so far I like his character and am glad he was the one to determine that Jack was using a duress code.

I can't wait until next Monday!

RE: to Chris

Chris, if you e-mail me I may be able to help out with last night's episode.

The presidents wife was one of the early stars of Designing Women - the Southern gals who had a decorating studio. I think the Secret Service guard who was also President Palmers guard will be "on her side" as the story moves along.Kiefer mentioned,in an interview, that there will be a lot of internal intrigue - those who have their own political agenda in the government) Some of the new 24 episodes are up already

After the President's wife found the printed message of the phone call (BTW her name is Jean Smart)from President Palmer-I decided that might answer the question who revealed Jack was still alive. Palmer probably told in the message that was intercepted - what I haven't figured out is the connection with the current President's wife & Palmer-did she work for him-I missed the connection-or they haven't said yet?

I don't think they've said yet. This series picks up after Jack has been gone for 18 months so who knows.
Maybe she was a friend of Lynne.

Frances, you are so very sweet! I lucked up, however. Would you believe that at my luncheon table of 7 today, 3 people had recorded it? So I'm catching up Friday. But thank you anyway.

I believe Martha said she was an old friend of David Palmer's and that she was one of the first to dance with him at his inauguration. There must be more to it -- why would he call her with a matter of national security?

Chris, I'm glad you will be able to see the episode. It is certainly worth seeing!

I don't think we saw Martha on any of the previous shows. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I didn't catch that about the dance.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! I loved that they jumped right into it. None-stop action to the max. I also liked how right away they told you who the mole is.

I was very sad about Michelle, however. That was a bummer.

I always loved Jean Smart and I'm so glad she's working. Her character is great, on the verge but trying to keep it together. I believe she is a new character, EW said she is new. I also know that Kim is returning so that should be interesting.
