Anyone else watch the Golden Globes?

I was happy "Walk the Line" did so well. No real upsets, I guess.

Here is a link that might be useful: Winners

RE: Golden Globes

Well, I guess Cojo and I were the only ones watching this year!

Didn't watch, but when I learned from the list that Larry McMurtry wrote the screenplan for Brokeback Mountain, it tipped me toward seeing it. Love McMurtry

I was watching 24!

Yeh Felicity Huffman, P.S. Hoffman, Sandra Oh and Ang Lee!
Got a real chuckle out of Geena Davis. Quite the comedic timing, she has!
Oh yeah, my pick for best dressed: Charlize Theron
Worst dressed: Yucky Green Barrymore with boobs down to her waist. Get a bra, girl!

Oh man! I ALWAYS watch the Globes. Somehow, I got my dates messed up and missed it. Even went to see Brokeback Mountain cause it had so many nominations, so glad I at least saw ONE winning film. Fortunately they are replaying the show on The Bravo network this coming Saturday. I'll be recording it so that way I'll be able to zip thru the commercials :)

I still cannot believe that some of these people have stylists! What are they thinking? It just goes to show you that money does not buy good taste.

Drew, Pam, Mariah, Cynthia Nixon, and the blonde from Grey's Anatomy (sorry, can't recall her name) but she looked like she was wearing grandma's doily tablecloth...oy. These people need help.

Didn't watch it, but was very very pleased that Hugh Laurie got the award for best tv drama performance for 'House'. I've always liked him, but this has been his finest role by far.

Amazed that 'Lost' got best Drama series. The one episode I made myself sit through was stacked with poor acting and a nice array of clichees.

I wonder what episode that was Anyanka...?

I thought it was very cute that Geena and Hugh both won...apparently the irony that they were both the parents in Stuart Little was not lost on them. I heard they had hugged backstage and Geena said, "Let's go call the child!"

Moongirl, it was an episode featuring extensive flashbacks by the Chinese girl, as well as the former hobbit's discovery of his guitar. There was also an attempted drowning, and a lot of 'should we stay on the beach, or move into the cave'; the old Lord of the Flies dilemma.

Every flashback was introduced by a wistful gaze into the long distance reminiscent of the flashbacks in 'Airplane', but less funny.

LOL Clairabelle, I thought that too about Drew Barrymore, bet she regrets that now! I thought Tim Robbin's hair looked ridiculous, c'mon guy, the 'rolling out of bed look' doesn't work with your age group!

Drew Barrymore at least made fun of herself on this past week's Saturday Night Live.
