This is driving me crazy

I just watched the movie Oceans Eleven - the old version with Frank Sinatra, Angie Dickinson, Dean Martin, etc. At one point, Sammy Davis Jr. sings the song "E.O. Eleven". (At least, that's what it sounds like.) What the heck is "E.O"? Can anyone tell me? This is driving me crazy.
Though it does make an awfully good whistle to call my dog. It responds instantly. I guess it likes the Rat Pack.

ninamarie,

The expression "EEE-O ELEVEN" comes from shooters playing craps. The following links explains it. Let me know if it doesn't work for you.

Here is a link that might be useful: EEE-O ELEVEN

I'm so glad someone offered this explanation, bc I love this movie and always wondered what the heck Sammy was singing about! Doncha love how they stick a Sammy song in the middle of the movie! Ah, the good old days!

Thank you Carla. I can rest easier now.
Yes Moongirl, it is very funny Sammy singing with all his garbage truck buds. I was disappointed at Dean's song- we have some of his music and 'Ain't that a kick in the head' is one of my least favourite songs. Surprising that Frank didn't sing, though.

Sam Davis Jr.- one of my all time favorites-what talent - he could do anything, great voice, good dancer and he could play numerous musical instruments-oh and he could imitate lots of other performers.
He was my Mother's favorite performer and we were very fortunate to be able to see him in person years ago in Reno...now that was a show!

(BTW I bought the RatPack CD to play in my car-I skip Dino and just listen to Sammy & Frank LOL!)
