| Well finally some new programs on our local PBS station!
Last night Carrie's War was delightful-did anyone watch it? It was the story of a 14 yr old girl & her younger brother who were evacuated to a small village in Wales after the heavy bombings in London.
Next week they are showing Under the Greenwood Tree a period piece based on a Thomas Hardy novel.
After that will be several weekly episodes of a Scotland Yard detective in 1950's London called Jericho....can you tell I am excited that PBS is not showing any more reruns and 'begging for dollars"!

Our reception for the PBS channel was bad. I'm glad you are giving it a good review. I hope next time it will clear up.

I saw Carrie's War a few weeks ago and loved it. Also, there was one a week before titled something like, My Family and other Creatures. I may have mangled the title a bit but it was wonderful! Has anyone seen that? I love PBS shows.

Thanks Pat, we somehow forget to see what is on PBS and later find out we missed good ones.

Last night was two back to back episodes-3 hours of He Knew He Was Right based on the book by Anthony Trollope and as usual it was very well done...not that I would want society to step so far backwards, but wouldn't it be be lovely if people would be so civil even under such circumstances and show respect for others....not to mention the moral code of the day-stone-age stuff by todays standards! Livia-I loved that program which was based on the real life story of Durrell a zoologist & writer-it was a wonderful show. Pat
