| Is this the movie with Helena Bonham Carter? If it is, then she never gets her guy, the wife dies of her long and gripping illness but only after realizing what's really going on, and the husband, overcome with grief and guilt, dumps his mistress even though he's now rich and free to re-marry. In an attempt to reclaim her lover, the nude scene with Carter's character is the most bizaare I've ever seen. It isn't sexual at all, it's just sad. For more detail, perhaps someone else can fill in and you can also go to IMdB and search for comments on this film to include spoilers. It's been a while since I've seen it and as you can see, I've forgotten all of the character's names. |
