Anya, True he wasn't mega star Brad Pitt yet but he'd already done "Thelma and Louise", "A River Runs Through It" and "Kalifornia" among others and was cast in several other big projects, like you mentioned which meant Hollywood by then was already banking that he was about to be the next big thing.
