| I think Paula's got it. I automatically thought of Pink Floyd but I couldn't remember the name of the movie! And then I realized that it was The Who and NOT Pink Floyd who did Tommy. Sigh ....... memory IS the second thing to go with age. I just wish I could remember what the first thing was. |

| This comment from IMDB on this movie sums it up... Extremely dumb adaptation of the horror comic book lacks the horror and the intelligence and makes a terrible film that has no sense what so ever. Keanu Reeves is miscast as John Constantine and makes the character into a dumb action hero who would have been put down and made fun of by his comic book counter part. Only Rachel Weisz and Djimon Hounsou give good performances and that's because they both knew what to bring to the table, while Keanu forgets that you need to believe in the main character in order for the movie to really fly. The script's dialog is horrible and some of the scenes are just too dark to notice what is going on from time to time. The script also lacks a certain amount of believability and certain parts make no sense what so ever. If you want to see this, see it for the game performances of Rachel Weisz and Djimon Hounsou, which does respect the audience, unlike the movie which does not. If not, wait for DVD. |

| And anyanka gets it! I specifically chose that movie for its awfulness. I mean it's not awful-funny like "Plan 9 From Outer Space" or "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" but it's just awful enough to linger with you for a few days or weeks after you see it. It's like an annoying rash that lingers for a bit and then goes away. ;-) And paula's right -- a movie's awfulness does not disqualify it from the clue game. ;-D Take it away anyanka! |

| The Congressional Medal Of Honor? Ok, I know of only two movies that covered that -- "Sgt. York" with Gary Cooper and "To Hell And Back" with Audie Murphy. I'll go with "To Hell and Back".... But that's probably wrong. ;-) |

| Paula is the winner!! BTW this classic will be on TCM tomorrow. An interesting note from a site The movie begins with Mr Cohan telling his story to President Roosevelt. "The movie ends with Roosevelt presenting Cohan a Congressional Medal of Honor for his services to the country (which Cohan was in fact awarded in 1936, though he neglected to claim the medal till 1940). The film was in the can, and set to premiere on July 4, Cohan's birthday. But the composer's rapidly deteriorating condition decided the studio push ahead the date for a May 29 premiere. Cohan still had final approval, so the the Cagneys flew east with a print and projection equipment. After several nervous moments, Cohan gave it his thumbs up. He lived to read the reviews and hear about the movie's mounting box office take, and died in the knowledge that his place in American history was secure with this film." |

| Whale Rider I thought it rang a bell - I thought the tooth was a dragon's tooth but the dance clue squarely put it (for me) in the Pacific. I had to check the title online so I don't think I should get to go next. |

| It's funny but once I got the past the "dragon's tooth" mind block, I figured it had to be set in the South Pacific, especially with the dance clue. And I knew of only one movie set in the South Pacific with expressive dance numbers. ;-) (And "Blue Hawaii" with Elvis does NOT count as having "expressive dance numbers".) On with the game!
