| My daughter and I just saw Stardust. I liked it reasonably well; she liked it better. We agreed that Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert de Niro stole the show.
I'm curious about two other movies based on Gaiman novles, Mirrormask and Neverwhere. Are they worth seeking out and watching?

I saw the previews to Stardust when we saw the latest HP movie-it looked like fun but I plan to wait for Netflix. I haven't seen the other two you mentioned, but will ck to see what Netflix says about them Pat |

| I liked Neverwhere, thought Mirrormask was weak. |

| I see that Neverwhere was 6 episodes and available on 2-DVD's. The reviews I read for Mirrormask were ho-hum. Pat |

| I watched MirrorMask not long ago and enjoyed it if for no other reason than the surreal quality of the visuals. Just on that level, it's mesmerizing. The storyline is predictable, though. That didn't matter to me, though. It was also nice to sit down and watch a movie with my kids that they could enjoy, too. |

| Part of my problem with MirrorMask is that I never felt the girl was in danger. The frisson was missing. Might play differently with children. Did it Georgia? |

| Yes, I do think something like MirrorMask plays differently for kids, and mine are young. You make a good point about it not feeling threatening for the girl, but I thought that was okay since it seemed that the dream was something for her to escape into to sort out her problems and fears. However, I haven't read Gaiman's Sandman comic books, so I don't have that as a point of comparison. Must correct that someday -- soon. |

| Saw Stardust his weekend and was charmed and laughed a lot. |
