| I was watching tv when that happened and I kept running in here to email my daughter and brother who were at work to tell them and then I remembered my youngest son was flying that day and it scared the bejeekers out of me until I found out he was safe. |

| Thank you, Clairabelle. (I haven't visited this site for a few weeks.) I live here in NY City. Luckily I wasn't down there that day -- but then, I rarely ever was. I woke up early to radio news saying a plane had hit one of the towers. I just thought some older pilot had suffered a stroke, lost consciousness and his little twin engine plane hit the bdg., not causing much damage. About 10 minutes later, the news said that it was a commercial jumbo jet. It was maybe a half-hr. later when the news said a second plane had hit the other tower. ... Then I thought it must be sabotage. After this year I'll probably not "commemorate" it anymore (watching TV documentaries @ it over several days) every Sept. 11th. It has become depressing to do that every year. Also, the finest shows on that event were shown during the first four years after it happened, and so they helped me get over the shock and inner turmoil. |
