Does anyone know what those short bits of film at the beginning of a movie that advertize the production companies are called? I thought "logo" might be the word, but apparently that's not it.

Are you sure they're not called logos? It looks like Wikipedia calls them production logos; at the beginning "an opening logo" and at the end "a closing logo". Hope the link helps.

Thanks, Carla. I checked the Wikipedia under "logo" and there was no mention of the movie version. I didn't think to search "production logo".
