| Well, demographics aside... I've never been able to get into Iron Maiden's music- or their mascot "Eddie". But any band that has a decked-out plane can't be all that bad. As a teenager in the 70's, it seemed to me that a rock band owning a private plane was the ultimate status symbol- even though the planes from the 50's and 60's these bands were using weren't all that great looking. My favorite rock star plane is still The Doobie Liner. : ) I seem to remember reading that Aerosmith once passed on buying a particular plane back in the 70's for having too many mechanical liabilities. That plane was later bought by the group Lynyrd Skynyrd. |
