| Hi everyone,
I'm new here and I just wanted to share my love of my favorite singer, Dottie West.
I'm a younger fan (I'll be 20 in March) of Dottie's and I started listening to her in high school. My favorite songs of hers include: "A Lesson In Leavin'", "Country Sunshine", "Blue As I Want To", "We Know Better Now", "Tulsa Ballroom", "Then You Smiled At Me", her duets with Kenny Rogers, "Last Time I Saw Him", and "As For Me"< the last song she ever recorded with Arne Benoni in July of 1991, shortly before she passed away.
I have a few of her albums and some CDs but I just wish it was easier to find! I loved Michele Lee's portrayal of her in "Big Dreams and Broken Hearts: The Dottie West Story"!
Anyone else out there a Dottie fan? Were any of you fortunate enough to see her in concert or got to meet her?
I'm looking forward to what you have to say!!!!

I remember her name how about a link so I can hear her again. I think she was one of the "old classic country singers"

Yes she is, Minnie! I'll provide the link to a YouTube video of her! She's lip-synching, but who cares! She looks beautiful as ever!

Clairabelle, unfortunately, no. Dottie passed away on September 4th, 1991 from injuries sustained in a car accident on August 30th. She was only 58 years old. Here's a link to a Dottie website. It has lyrics, her bio, facts, pictures of her and her homes (she had an awesome mansion!). It's really neat!!!!

Here is one of my favorite songs that Dottie ever recorded. It's from her final album "Just Dottie". It was later released on CD as "Just Dottie Again". Enjoy! Brad AKA Moonwolf
