Hollah!
Can someone tell me who does that haunting voice on the soundtrack of 2006 French film hit Ne Le Dis р Personne ? It sounds familiar, sort of like Rufus Wainwright with a beautiful guitar (not sure the singer and guitarist are one and same)

My research tells me that the late Jeff Buckley sings "Lilac Wine" on the soundtrack, with guitar accompaniment. Could that be the song you remember?

(I only know him from his beautiful rendition of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah )

Yes, he's another in a long list of gifted musicians who passed away too soon. Accidental drowning over 10 years ago at age 30.

His father tim died very young from drug related problems.
