Oh, My Bad, I just looked it up to download a picture for you and noticed it was a CANADIAN show back in 1979, so that's probably why nobody guessed it!

It's from THE LITTLEST HOBO, about a wise wandering German Shepherd who went from town to town, helping people in need. Family show.

Yes, her song was the theme song of a recent US show that has ended, one that I liked, if that helps.

I had the good fortune to meet the lead actress, who is also in films and a poet, and was a fan of her father, who performed in movie musicals long ago.
