I'm thinkin' James Brown must get this one by default.

Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody may not be the numero uno, but it makes me smile and sing along every time (no matter where I may be).

Hard to believe it's been almost 15 years since Freddie Mercury's death.

Jobird, thanks for posting the video for others to see. I

Up" and "Summertime Blues".

Groovin and here comes the sun are great choices. How about songs like come saturday morning, morning girl, sweet caroline, sugar sugar,or 59th street bridge?

 o
RE: The number one feel good song of all time

Sorry Manny, "59th Street Bridge Song" would qualify for
the number one feelin' groovy song of all time. You
are familiar with the Al Kooper / Mike Bloomfield version
from the "Live Adventures" album, aren't you?

Life I love you, all is groovy.

RE: The number one feel good song of all time

Believe me, I am not suggesting this tune is the number one feel good song of all time, but after looking at some of the other entries, I cannont resist this seemingly oddball entry. By all rights, a song called "Singin' The Blues" should be a downer of a tune, but the way Guy Mitchell sang it, with that cheerful whistling and upbeat nuance to the lyrics, it is a feel good song.

I keep thinking of Toni Tony Tone's Feels Good when I see this thread.

RE: The number one feel good song of all time

Hey Ric, haven't thought of "Singin' the Blues" in ages. What a good song - it's one my dad has covered over the years. It's funny how seemingly "sad" songs can actually make you feel good.

That said, some of the songs to top my list would be
All Summer Long - Beach Boys
Good Vibrations - Beach Boys
Groovin' - Rascals
Summer in the City

hmmmmm . . .Guess I'm in a summer state of mind . . . .

Who is your Dad, Debracadabra? Yours is a familiar name, and I may have asked this question before, but my memory is shot to hell (except about music of course!)

 o
RE: The number one feel good song of all time

"Salisbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel. My husband is the grumpiest old man in the world, but this song puts a smile on his face.

 o
RE: The number one feel good song of all time

Cannibal Corpse - Rancid Amputation

 o
RE: The number one feel good song of all time

very funny -- pull the other one!

A lot of the songs mentioned make me feel good.

I'd like to add Eva Cassidy's rendition of "Time After Time" because I always smile when I hear it. So beautiful.
