Sorry Manny, "59th Street Bridge Song" would qualify for the number one feelin' groovy song of all time. You are familiar with the Al Kooper / Mike Bloomfield version from the "Live Adventures" album, aren't you? Life I love you, all is groovy. |

Believe me, I am not suggesting this tune is the number one feel good song of all time, but after looking at some of the other entries, I cannont resist this seemingly oddball entry. By all rights, a song called "Singin' The Blues" should be a downer of a tune, but the way Guy Mitchell sang it, with that cheerful whistling and upbeat nuance to the lyrics, it is a feel good song. | Hey Ric, haven't thought of "Singin' the Blues" in ages. What a good song - it's one my dad has covered over the years. It's funny how seemingly "sad" songs can actually make you feel good. That said, some of the songs to top my list would be All Summer Long - Beach Boys Good Vibrations - Beach Boys Groovin' - Rascals Summer in the City hmmmmm . . .Guess I'm in a summer state of mind . . . . |
