You know, I have written about him before. He grabbed my attention when I first heard him on the radio, probably in 1965. So clever, so funny, such a way with words and images that his Subterranean Homesick Blues gave me the giggles. The ongoing phases of his career have shown the varied aspects of his talent. Different people have different taste in music, so he's not loved by everyone, but I am not alone in considering him a perennial treasure.

I saw him a "few" years back when he was touring with Paul Simon. It seemed like most of the crowd was there for Mr. Simon, but Bob was the real attraction for me. I had always appreciated Hendrix's recorded version of "All Along the Watchtower" more than Dylan's, but that night Bob and his band played a rendition that stole it right back!!

I saw him live at a show afew years ago in buffalo,he was touring with the grateful dead.I love some of his 60s and 70s lps.One of the best songwriters ever of course, but sometimes i like other artists versions of his songs. The byrds have always done dylan better than dylan to me.Someone mentioned the hendrix version of all along the watchtower. How about george harrisons version of if not for you?I love his, bobs, classic recording of like a rolling stone, with al kooper on keyboards.Dylan is a legend, and im glad hes still around.
