Karen Carpenter New Biography 'Little Girl Blue'

Hi everyone,

I am a big Carpenters fan and I am wanting to get the new book that was released about Karen's life. It's called "Little Girl Blue: The Life Of Karen Carpenter". Like many of the great ones, she left this Earth much too soon.

Anyone else here a Carpenters fan? What's your favorite song(s) of theirs? My all time favorite has to be "Now", which was the last song she recorded. To my surprise, I read that she recorded the song in one take. RIP, Karen, you are greatly missed.

Richard & Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center is local to us, and I saw a nice display there of mementos related to both of them, including her drum kit.

Karen will always be remembered for her exceptional talent as a drummer, and for her unique, expressive voice.

Ah, such a great talent... That unmistakable deep yet soft voice conforted me many a time.
My personal faves are "We've Only Just Begun" (to live)...
and "Merry Christmas, Darling".

Petaloid, that must be neat! Karen was a superb drummer as well!

Clairabelle, I love all their classic hits! "Merry Christmas, Darling" is definitely one of my favorites too! I also like "Only Yesterday", "Want You Back In My Life Again", and "Don't Be Afraid".
