Ringo starr was the big 66 yesterday!

He always was one of the music scenes really nice guys,and a very solid underrated drummer.Im glad hes drug and alcohol free these days,and seems to be enjoying life.

I knew he was the oldest of the Beatles, but it's hard to imagine he is 66. He had such major health problems in childhood, I wouldn't have guessed that he would have outlived George, who was the youngest of the four.

An old friend of ours actually met Ringo in a club and took turns playing pinball with him in England back in the '70s. They teased each other about being short. Both were three sheets to the wind at the time (and now both are drug and alcohol free). Our friend says Ringo is lots of fun and down-to-earth, a regular guy.

Hes like sonny bono was..in that he sort of dabbles in my artistic endeavers.Hes certainly been very accessible in recent years.You cant help but like and respect the guy.I think all 4 of the beatles were pretty good guys,they say lennon was alittle combative and mean at tmes,but yoko helped to mellow him out alittle.She was good for him.

Yes,and he wasn't even the best drummer in The Beatles.
