| Paul McCartney is to release his new album, 'Chaos and Creation in the Back Yard', on 13 September.
Billboard reports that McCartney played all the instruments on the album and the record was co-produced by McCartney with Radiohead and Beck producer Nigel Godrich.
Commenting on the album, the follow-up to 2001's 'Driving Rain', McCartney said: "I did not want to rush this album. I think it was worth the wait though. The music became more interesting over time and I'm really proud of what we did."
He added: "We really made a lot of it up as we went along. I'd try something and if it didn't work I'd try something else until it did. It was like making a go-cart in the backyard."
