Looking in vain for the lyrics and artist of a VERY old song - a slow, torch song type with a very unusual voice. The chorus goes "I slipped a little baby but I didn't fall" about someone almost cheating.
There's not a lot of detailed information out there on this song, but I did find one site that said 1966. To me it sounds like mid-60's soul, so I'm guessing that's very close. Good song, thanks for posting the question. :)
