What made Macca lose his talent?

He's never going to write another Hey Jude or Yesterday but then not many artists even manage to write even one tune as good as the two above,
So I think he's different these days. He is after all sixty odd now and no one can be expected to keep up the standard Macca set for himself for an entire career |

Yesterday is my favorite Beatles song. Another sad thing is that Michael Jackson probably owns the rights to the song...

Paul still has energy and enthusiasm, even if he is less creative now. Some of his solo tunes aren't bad -- "Junk" is one I can relate to. "Yesterday" came to him in a dream. Maybe he needs to get more sleep. I saw an interview clip where Paul said Michael Jackson told him he'd get rights to the Beatles songs, but Paul thought he was joking. Not a joke. Does anyone know how Michael was able to do that?

Money? I remember Paul being stunned (and hurt?) when he learned MJ bought the rights to The Beatles catalogue. Afterall, it was Paul who first advised Michael to buy music rights as a way of solidly reinvesting his money.

There's a funny clip they play of Paul when he's talking about it - in a falsetto voice mocking MJ he's like, "I'm gonna buy YOUR songs!" LOL I suppose that while it sounded like a good idea, it's probably uncouth to buy the rights of your supposed friend's music. Alas, all's fair in love and war, eh? I was wondering (as I'm sure many were) if this latest round of court battles would leave MJ penniless and he'd have to sell off the rights. It would be cool if they could at least be owned by a Beatle again. I understand their anger over JAckson using songs like "Revolution," that were supposed to mean something, for a sneaker commercial. Although I haven't seen many concerts in my lifetime, his was one of the best. And he performed nonstop - it was great. I think he did like four encore songs and performed for 2 hours or so. I was very surprised at his energy for a 60+ "old guy" - he probably needs it to keep up with his daughter Beatrice. (Yeah, right, like they don't have 20 nannies to do that)

Paul probably needed lennons hard edge more than he wants to admit.Conversely lennon needed paul to help keep him sane.Apart they were sometimes brilliant..together they were always brilliant.
