Moody Blues get dissed again

What in the world has the R&R Hall of Fame got down it's gullet that excludes the Moody Blues?

Kind of a weird group of inductees this time around. Miles Davis? Sir Douglas Quintet? Grand Master Flash?

Oh well. I sent a letter. We'll see if they respond.

I greatly enjoy Miles Davis and Doug Sahm, but the Moody Blues arrival at the RRHOF is long overdue. It will happen, eventually - and the boys are familiar with being a 'Long Distance Voyager'.

After reading that article,it would appear a bunch of good acts haven't gotten a nomination;very sad!!

The Moody Blues are certainly deserving,IMO.

Another interesting article:

"The annual Bluegrass Music Awards have been announced and GUESS WHAT? The Moody Blues, who have never even been nominated for a Grammy, are up for an award (sort of) due to Moody Bluegrass. Who would've ever thunk that!

According to a press release today, Alison Krauss & Union Station received 14 Bluegrass Music Awards nominations Tuesday, including entertainer of the year. The release goes on to say "Krauss and Tyminski also are featured on the Larry Sparks album "40," which is nominated for album of the year and recorded event of the year. Krauss also received a nomination for being part of the recorded event nominated album "Moody Bluegrass."

I trust most fans of the band have scooped up this Rounder release. It's only about a year old, and quite good - not like some albums that have been given a curious bluegrass treatment.

The Bluegrass folks in Nashville seem to appreciate the Moody Blues more than the RRHF...

Ric,

I realize that Miles Davis' contributions to jazz are significant, I'm only wondering about his inclusion in the R & R Hall of Fame.
