The song goes:
Blue is he color of the sky
in the morning
when I rise
In the morning
when I rise
That's the time
that's the time
I love the best
Please tell me who did this nice tune.
Than kew.

Well, we don't know what version you heard. But Donovan is a pretty safe bet. He wrote it, and got most of the airplay - although the first time I heard the tune was by Joan Baez (who also performed it live with Donovan at one time). One of the best versions in my personal collection is by a rather obscure band called Sawmill Creek. Ric |

The first time I heard it and it stuck was on a t.v. commercial a while back, probably for camera film or some such thing. I thought it might be Donovan but I asked my in-house music guru and got a shrug. Then I heard it on the sat. station at work and it sure sounded an awful lot like someone who wanted to be Zimmerman. Now I can start digging from here. |
