If you didn't want to know, you wouldn't have asked, so here goes. The acoustic version was a yawner, the sort of thing that makes people crack jokes about folk songs & singers. As boring as Dave Matthews and that ilk. The version, and probably anything else, by Outcast is a joke.
With all the really good music being made by great talent, to see this trash get the attention is a crime.
No, I didn't mean that fellow doing his acoustic thing. I mean, he was good at what he was doing, it just wasn't my thing. My comment was in reference to Outkast. The way '50's era adults must have felt about rock 'n roll is how I feel about hip hop (I still don't know what the devil it is) and rap. One exception being Ice Tea's Body Count disc with "Cop Killer". But then, I don't consider that a rap record. I just wish he wouldn't have punked out and pulled it back. It was a strong disc with a strong statement. I guess it's tough though when almost entire nation wants to sting you up.
