I have to admit that Chapin was pretty darn good, but the only song I ever dug was Taxi. I could hear that once a day and not get tired if it. But as performers go, I'd much rather listen to Phil Ochs and Tom Paxton.

If you are enjoying some Chapin, don't forget his most excellent song within a song - "Better Place To Be" off of the 'Sniper & Other Love Songs' album. Ric

I was a fan of his for years,he and jim croce sort of reminded me of each other, they both told a fine story in their songs. Its quite tragic that ochs, chapin, and croce all died so young with presumably much more great music yet to share with us,that we never got to hear.

His daughter is in the music biz these days. I haven't heard her, though.

Hey Alisonn, (aka Alison on the sister site), you must be thinking of Jen Chapin. Since you enjoy a lot of local talent, you may want to check her out. Her album 'Linger' is a couple of years old but a new one should be in the stores this spring (accoridng to WFUV). Great stuff. Her dad would be proud.
