Newbie looking for advice

| i joined to try and find somebody to discuss books with as well as get suggestions for good books. I'm in a 19th century "rut." Would really like to find something more modern to read (after I read Rememberance of Things Past, which I just started). Thanks! |

ering, you have come to the right place to find a wide range of reading tastes from many countries.
Things are rather quiet here at the moment but check some of the back-threads to get an idea of what other RP'ers have been reading and do join in with any discussions or start your own thread. |

You sure have found the perfect place.
Not only are these amazingly diverse readers, but really nice people as well.
There isn't a question that you could pose which can't be answered in the absolute best way. The recommendations are always fantastic.
Like Sarah, I've also found wonderful books from RP. |

| Welcome! We do have fun here. Tastes run from bestsellers to YA lit to genre fiction to literary fiction to classics. All are welcomed and respected. I second the recommendation to check the regular monthly What-are-you-reading thread. In fact, I just put two books on hold at the library that were suggested on that list. Rosefolly |
